Consolidated Reinforcement is a foundation reinforcement company. We draft, engineer, and install conventional rebar and post-tension foundations all across the state of Texas. From Austin to Dallas, Fort Worth to San Antonio. But CRI is more than what we do. We’re a company of individuals; of people and folks from all different walks of life. And it’s these people whose dedication and passion took us to new heights this past year.
On a professional level, CRI achieved many goals in 2017. Each of our departments grew in size and took on new responsibilities. Commercial and residential engineering, geotechnical drilling, soil investigation, rebar fabrication. Across the board we hired new folks, expanded our offices, and completed more jobs in less time than any previous year. Professionally, it was a phenomenal year.
But it was also a wonderful year on a personal level. Two of our employees achieved significant personal goals in 2017. Sanjoy Das Gupta from our Geotechnical Department passed his Professional Engineer’s (PE) exam and became a licensed Geotechnical Engineer last year. And Derrick Lee from our Structural Engineering Department passed his PE exam last year and will be joining Sanjoy as a licensed engineer. It took an extreme amount of hard work and dedication for these two to achieve this milestone. Congratulations to both of them!
CRI was also able to run our Cable for the Cure program again in 2017. We installed pink post-tension cable in all of the foundations we reinforced in October. These cables became a beacon of hope and a strong show of support in the fight against breast cancer. Because of our generous customers CRI was able to make a charitable donation to both Susan G. Komen Austin and the Breast Cancer Resource Center. These two organizations fight daily to raise awareness for breast cancer and help counsel and support those affected. We could not be more proud to help them with their work.
Consolidated Reinforcement continued to expand and grow in 2017 achieving bigger goals than ever before. We’ve been plying our trade for over 40 years and in that time we’ve learned that people are what really matter. So we want to thank all of the builders we had the opportunity to work with in 2017. We want to thank all of our employees for their continual dedication, heart, and passion. And we also want to thank all those who will one day live in the homes we helped build.
Every home starts with a strong foundation. And every strong foundation starts with CRI. We’re excited to see how many homes we can work on in 2018. And how many lives we can change.
